Who is that? What is that? Where is that? Macau is a beautifully hidden Portuguese gem, which has taken me by surprise, I didn't even know Macau existed until my unexpected trip, and by unexpected I mean my company flew me to Macau to sort out my visa for china, and me being me, never googling any place I go to, I was beyond mind blown and surprised by what I saw, I didn't exactly know where I was until I saw it on google maps. Macau has this tropical temperature vibe so if you've been to Hong Kong you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, it is very humid. An interesting fact actually Macau is right across from Hong Kong, and it's super easy to visit Hong Kong for a day from Macau or vice-versa and the simplest form of transportation would be by taking a fairy.

Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China also known as the “Vegas of China” as its casino life is constantly growing, Macau has over 40 casinos. and no not just your ordinary casino I'm talking about things you'd see in the movies. Macau is home to the second-largest casino in the world - Venetian, which is absolutely huge, I mean what casino has a replica of the Venice river running through it, yes an active river with boats transporting you from one end of the casino to the other, including City of dreams third largest and a couple more, no I'm not a gambler but hey who said I couldn't go see what the big fuss was about casinos and with that being said as astonishing as they all are, I think I have seen enough casinos for one lifetime, but Macau isn’t just known for its insane casinos, the history of Macau is just as interesting we have the Ruins of St. Paul’s a 17th century complex in Santo Antonio it includes St. Paul’s College and the Catholic Church of St. Paul’s which is honestly breathtaking. The streets of Macau has this old Brazilian vibe to it which is quite weird because they have many replicas of European architecture, like the Eiffel tower and the coliseum, which just is mind-blowing because you wouldn't even think twice that you are in the middle of Asia its completely modern and very much western including the cuisine.
Right across from the ruins we have the Monte fort which is actually a museum with this wonderful view of the city.but be aware Macau includes a ton of walking and its not the easiest in the humidity. We then have the very famous Senado Square which includes St. Dominic’s church which is an absolutely must-see attraction, it’s beyond amazing to see how the religion still lies in Macau, but be noted all religious statues or churches are extremely strict on tourists entering, there is a certain dress code, as well as no visible tattoos may be seen when entering any churches,

And if you think that’s all that Macau has to offer your wrong, after crossing a couple of islands in Macau I came across a very famous beach called Hac Sa beach its known for the black sand and beautiful blue waters. I ended up wasting a couple of hours swimming and enjoying the sunset when a stranger came up to me and asked if they could take photos of me for there portfolio I of course said no problem I don't mind, not thinking I would every receive these picture, which in the end I did and here they are for you to see too, let me know what you think.
I quickly decided that it was time to head back to my hotel as it was getting darker and darker out, but there was one problem I arrived in a taxi and left with a bus, now getting lost can be fun up until a point, I got off and on 10 busses, it was 11 pm and I had no idea where on earth I was, the great thing about public transportation in Macau it's extremely cheap but trying to find the right busses to get on is a different story because there are literally 5 billion busses with all different numbers heading in all different directions, so my advice to you stick to taxis.
.
So besides the beaches, casinos, and all the religious buildings, Macau is the queen of entertainment, there is always something going on from local to international there are a variety of shows, concerts, and performances. The Venetian the casino I mentioned earlier has its own theatre where famous artists have performed including grammy award winners. Macau has the beautiful building called studio city which is the pictures shown above which is phenomenal, which is actually where the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening and closing ceremony was held. The city of dreams also a little exhibition center not too far from studio city which is where I actually went to go see Ferrari- under the sun which was held in Italy, London and then Macau which was quite interesting and best part yet I got in for free, so al in all Macau definitely has its perks but it can be quite expensive as it is the entertainment center of Asia,

And as always stay strong keep smiling much love Eve.
This place looks ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Like it really does look like something out of a movie or film! Looks like you had a wonderful time discovering a new place. Thank you for sharing!
Macau looks so magical. My parents have visited and since I've wanted to go. The Portuguese influence on buildings looks gorgeous. I didn't know it had a nice beach too. Would you recommend 24 hours is a enough or can you do it in less?
